When Rocky Balboa invests in your gym, you know you’re doing something right. Backed by Sylvester Stallone, Noah Neiman’s Rumble Boxing — with its water-filled, Aqua training bags and boxing-inspired fitness classes — has its sights set on turning sparring into a mainstream workout. And with Justin Bieber also financing the venture, Rumble is well positioned to shake up the fitness world like SoulCycle did a few years ago.

Neiman co-founded Rumble in New York City in 2016, and it recently opened another location in lower Manhattan. The gym’s curated hip hop playlists and state of the art strength training attracts celebrity clientele, but he maintains that Rumble’s customized workouts are empowering, relatable, and fun for everyone.

We caught up with the star of Bravo’s Work Out New York to discuss his four-legged sidekick, the NYC entrepreneurial grind, and how he goes from a young Benjamin Button to a fit Tyler Durden with quality shuteye.

What’s keeping you up at night right now?

Noah: Nada. I sleep like a baby. I try and run through my day like Bo Jackson so I earn that sleep when my head hits the pillow.

What do you wear to sleep?

Noah: Basic Supreme cottons normally.

Go-to late night snack?

Noah: Almond butter. Jars of it.

How many hours do you sleep?

Noah: 7-8.

What makes you WANT to get out of bed?

Noah: I’ve worked hard to create a life I look forward to living. I love my sleep, but I love my living more.

What else do you do in your bed besides sleep?

Noah: I use it for sleep and telling Oz (my dog) what a good boy he is.

What makes you fall asleep?

Noah: Life. If you ain’t tired when your head hits the pillow in NYC, you ain’t living right.

Why is boxing important to you?

Noah: I want to feel like I earned my place in this city. I want to make my family proud. I want to make myself proud. I want to buy Oz luxurious memory foam-filled dog beds. I used to hope and wish for a lot of these things. Now I wake up and work my ass off for it.

What gives you energy throughout your day?

Noah: The more you do, the more you can do. I found the more shit I have on my plate the more I can handle the next day. That and about 75 cups of La Colombe coffee.

How does sleep impact your day?

Noah: I’m a monster if I don’t sleep right. I look like a young Benjamin Button. It’s not a pretty sight. When I rest and recover, I feel like a Fight Club Brad Pitt. It’s really a different feeling waking up well rested.

How do you deal with stress?

Noah: Box. Lots and lots of boxing. So much so that I opened my own boxing gym. There’s something inherently therapeutic about punching shit.

If you have an extra 15 minutes in your day, what do you do with it?

Noah: Spend it with my dog. Always. Even when I don’t have an extra 15, I make sure to hang at the dog park with my little G.

What city do you sleep in?

Noah: The one they say never sleeps. It does. It just ‘wakes’ a lot harder than most.
